According to a report in the Seattle Times, in 2017 nearly 22,000 people were reported as homeless in Washington state, a 3.5% rise over the last year. Washington State’s average rent is $1,652. Food, water, and shelter should not be a luxury in our society. It is a necessity. A human right.
