Wrapped up the first 10 dietary cycle of Ketogenic Intermittent Fasting. Went from 206lbs to 199lbs in that time.

Did a Healthy Carb REFEED day yesterday and woke up 203lbs.

No, I’m not measuring my blood Ketone levels. Personally, I’m a minimalist type of person and not really into trinkets and gadgets so I can’t tell you if I’m in ketosis. I know my carbs only came from greens and I feel fantastic although my libido dropped a little. AM and PM hunger is the toughest. My pre workout has never tasted so good. Lol The coolest thing is that I’m still getting sore after my workouts (👍👍👍)and my biggest concern was that my workouts would go to crap but the drop off in strength and pumps has been minimal. Keep in mind, it was only a 10 day protocol. #Context

Mentally, I’m in the zone! Pumped to see how my body changes the final 20 days of this Metabolic Reboot. Oh yeah, woke up FAMISHED THIS AM after the REFEED so that’s a good sign we kicked the metabolism up. I should really tighten up next few days with the topped up glycogen levels!

I'm learning that dinner should be something light and a good amount of time before you sleep
I ate rice last night because - long throat

I woke up with bloating, a mild heart burn and I was generally uncomfortable.
Before I started this journey, I could eat a full plate of rice, plantain, chicken, egg with juice by 10 pm and I won't feel any how by morning.
Then I began eating light and early dinners, I still did not notice any changes in my body
Then on a few occasions afterwards , I have had a full meal for dinner eg rice and I have woken up feeling bloated, uncomfortable and with a mild heartburn
So for my comfort, I'd rather have a salad or some fruit or some peppersoup for dinner along with green tea of course

One meal at a time. One workout at a time. One day at a time. I’ve been trying to find some balance in my life these last couple of weeks. I try to stay prepared, ready to go, get that gym sesh in early so I don’t procrastinate, fight the little voice in my head telling me “it’s just one donut”🍩🍩🍩🍩🤦🏽‍♀️ My week thus far: Workouts completed- 3, Mornings slept in-3, Donuts eaten- 3 French fries I snuck in at work- 284748374, Water Consumed- .25 ounces. You get the picture... Not my best week BUT you can’t let a couple slip ups or a bad week get you all fucked up in the head. Can’t discount my entire journey and all the hard work I put in. You fall, you get your ass back up and do it all over again. Push harder. Tell yourself I CAN DO THIS. I’m not trying to be perfect, I’m just trying to be better. A little effort everyday goes a long way. I hope everyone is having a great weekend 💕

SSM office has successfully participated in the FFC Drive Away Hunger campaign and for 10 years now.  This year once again was an office success!! It is always a fun time of year to be able to dress down on Fridays and in turn bring in canned goods or other needed items to help out our local food banks.

We also had a "Chili Cook Off" in conjunction with the weekly themes which included three different Chili recipes created by staffers Tracy P, Deborah S. and myself.  Results: 3 way tie!!! Today personally is my favorite day (puts a big SMILE on my face) when we hand over the collected goods to our local food bank.
This year we helped our local Soup Kitchen.
