Moving day! It’s official, I’m moving to Cali. We’ve been patiently waiting and planning for this moment for a while now. It’s been a total ride. Those of you that are close to me know that I’ve got travel in my blood. Born in the UK 🇬🇧 I was 10 years old when we moved to Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 and for the next 7 years of my life my family and I were living between two countries. When I hit my late 20’s I felt that calling again and made my way from the UK 🇬🇧 to Hong Kong 🇭🇰, spending 2 years learning a new kind of island life before giving that up for the country where my true adventure was to begin, Thailand 🇹🇭. After spending 2.5 years in Bangkok city life was growing old so I hopped over to my favourite Thai island Koh Samui on a stroke of luck landing an awesome job and a life that I’ll always hold close to my heart 🌴. My island roots were calling :) And now, here I am in the USA 🇺🇸 in an unexpected but amazing turn, with someone that makes me feel like the last 6 years of our lives have been the best yet. 8 months “on the road” staying between family and friends in the UK and the US, unsure of where we were going to land, California is going to be a treat to call home. I’m grateful and humbled by the amazing journey that has been mapped out for me, meeting people that I couldn’t live without all over the world, and still feeling very lucky to be alive and healthy. Like I said it’s been a ride. And today on moving day I’m feeling that gratitude even more than I do every morning I wake up. 🙏
If you haven’t already, I hope you can find your journey and love the life you live. Appreciate every person and moment around you, and share that energy with the world. What some people consider as riches are just possessions at the end of the day. It’s the experiences you have and the lives you touch that enrich your life more than any currency could. ✨🙏✨ 📸: Austin April ‘17 .
