Stayed up late working, so I slept in and enjoyed some sweet morning snuggles with my Blondie - because summer! I was craving my favorite breakfast from when I did The Ultimate Reset - Farina and Apples! Plus, it's Leg day bro - gotta fuel up! .

1/4 c. Dry Farina (This is a brown rice hot cereal, similar to cream of wheat, but gluten free! Cook according to directions.)
1/2 green apple
3/4 c. Greek Yogart
3 tbsp chopped Walnuts
1 tbsp. Pure Maple syrup
Stir and enjoy!

This summer semester has surely put our class to the test. I think I speak for everyone in my PT class when I say, I couldn't have done it without you guys. Whether I need help or not, people are sharing study guides, collaborating, and just genuinely there to make sure we all cross that finish line. We are almost there everyone, then off to our first clinical rotation!! Good bye cold classrooms and hello clinics! WE GOT THIS!!

The rain woke me up this morning and as I was snuggled up next to my hubby, I could have easily gone back to sleep. But then there was this giant clap of Thunder and lightning. It was if the Universe was yelling at me to get up!
So I made the decision without thinking too long to get up, put my feet on the ground and headed downstairs to show up for ME today. I am my best self for others when I spend 30 minutes working on me each morning.

All it takes is the decision to start. Just show up and live as your best self today. Today I will be positive, strong, giving, grateful and loving. What will you choose to be today? ❤Coach Erin

The daily grind.
This morning my alarm went off & yes- I'm not gonna lie I pushed snooze a few times & thought about skipping my morning run. But then the guilt of knowing I had set out my entire outfit, shoes, & headphones and the only thing preventing me from getting in this workout was ME.
Those 4 miles were not easy, as it's been hella hot in NE this week but all it takes is that first step out of the house & you are already going in the right direction. Some days feel easier than others, and some days you may push snooze but then there is that day you finish your workout and remember then why it's all worth it! .

But maybe life happened and you did push snooze this morning or you are not a morning warrior- instead an evening warrior 👊🏼 So good news you can join me at Elevate Cycling & Fitness in Rockbrook Village tonight at 5:45 for an amazing 45 minutes of SPIN + ROW + STRENGTH!

Truth: It's hard to get back into a groove post-vacation! I feel completely exhausted mentally and physically. I feel a little puffy from too many carbs and not enough water and veggies.
Fact: I've been through this before and I know the best thing I can do it just jump back into a routine. I wont quit! Yesterday was my day to decompress and unpack. Here is my plan moving forward in case anyone else needs this too:

1. Push hard in my workouts - picking up where I left off in my program.

2. Follow my nutrition plan and eat healthy 80% of the time.
3. DRINK MORE WATER and GET MORE SLEEP!

4. Hold myself accountable and log into my online support groups.

5. Focus on how I feel, not the number on the scale post-vacation!
