You want to have a strong foundation for weightlifting right? Without a strong foundation you you can leak power when you push through it. If you don't have a solid foundation this can show up as either pain in the ankles, knees, hips, or low back, a lack of mobility in the ankles/calves, or just not lifting as heavy as you COULD be. The ToePro is an awesome device aimed stress muscles in the feet and lower legs that can be hard to train. In this video the slanted (low side on the inside of his foot to the high side on the outside of his foot) ToePro is trying to force his arch to collapse.

To improve the posterior tibialis strength (muscle that runs from under your calves down to the inside of your foot and helps maintain foot arch height) He has to fight the arch from collapsing by using his posterior tibialis to raise his arch as he pushes the lateral edge of his foot into the padded slant of the Toe Pro. There are a number of other muscles in the shin and foot that are working here as well. Maintaining this position is challenging, but then having him control that position while bending down and touching the ground is a real burner🔥.
