In honor of today’s Boston Marathon, and being a native Bostonian living just 10 minutes from the famed race’s starting line, I thought I’d share a little about this gorgeous historic home I’ve always admired which sits literally at that line. Built in 1745, this home was a former inn, tavern and ballroom that once hosted our first President George Washington and Boston area socialites of the era and was also part of the Underground Railroad! Lord knows it’s gorgeous all on its own, but how I’d love to be the lucky designer to assist its new owners (did I mention it’s on the market? 😉).
