I have been slacking on my own challenge 😱so I'm posting this a little late. Haven't really had time to draw but... This was the first of a series of abstract paintings I did in 2008. I'm calling it Maui Sonrise.

Awareness, anticipation, conviction. 🦋 I've been pondering the subject of "eyes" lately, in particular, the way we look at things. How we weigh things out in our mind after we decide on a position to take, which in turn is based on our perception of the situation. So in my mind, I saw how awareness is very important, then once we are convinced, have the anticipation of how great a part we can play in that situation, and how amazing it will turn out. And then, to have a sense of conviction not to only stand up, but to run the race with confidence. 🙌🏼
