Working in a gym is great, because members always tend to bring you FOOD!
A lot of the time though, the choice of food is maybe not the best... But can I still eat it? Absolutely. Could YOU still go ahead and eat it? Hell yes!
Foods do not exist on a spectrum of "good and bad." They are just different quantities of calories made up of any number of grams of carbs, fats and protein (y'know, the things we all NEED in our diets.) A slice of apple pie is going to give me a variety of these calories and macros, in the same way a chicken salad would give me a totally different variety. At the end of the day, although the numbers might be different, what the two are composed of is basically exactly the same... Don't demonize certain foods because you have a preconceived notion of them being "bad"- they just offer you different things nutritionally from those foods you would typically consider "healthy." Can you still achieve your weight-loss goals while eating them? Yes, provided you're sensible about the overall quantity of them you consume!
