Lifting has become a great and fun hobby of mine I've met some of the best group of guys through lifting and recently lifting has been a form of therapy and has been really helping me clear my mind to relief stress. Got to give this shoutout to my roommate, friend, and client @laura_geter for huge progress during her final semester at ODU!!! 25lbs in 14 weeks and her squat has gone from boxing squatting the bar to now hitting 290lbs for a heavy single during this period of time. Squats, Bench, Upper Body Pump on this beautiful Saturday at @project_sixkiller. IMPROVE YOUR HIP FLEXOR MOBILITY

Yesterday I showed you a common hip flexor stretch that most people 🙅 shouldn't be doing. So today let's throw out the alternative.

This hip flexor flow takes you through ↔ stretches for the iliopsoas, adductors, and rectus femoris. You can do any of these statically or dynamically. Whichever you prefer.

The 🔑 key to targeting the hip flexors is to pull your pelvis back into a posterior tilt and squeeze the glute throughout all movement. This helps you build active hip extension while improving the hip flexor mobility. If you find that you can't squeeze the 🍑 glute, you are likely too deep into the stretch and need to back out.

Get moving and get those hip flexors loosened up. Tag a friend who needs this flow and share the wealth!

Another day of training. Squats feel like death, but that's cause my knee is a little agitated and volume work sucks. Bench volume feels good 3x9 with 245. Deadlifts feel amazing as you can can see. 480x2x7.... and yes this was beltless. Felt like I could've hit 4-5 more if I wanted an AMRAP. Be warned!!!! The commentary is top notch today thanks to @h2o_sophia @kennyii and @seffland. Today was my heavy day with deadlifts and bench along with some upper body accessories. 550x2x4 and 275x2x3 then 275x1x6. I hope everyone can enjoy my soul slowly being ripped out my body over the next upcoming weeks. Happy Birthday post!!! I am now 25 and have competed in 3 Powerlifting Competitions and have gotten 2nd place each time lol. However this time, I qualified for USPA nationals at the @project_sixkiller meet. This was a pretty big deal since my prep was not even a prep. I walked into this meet Under weight, fighting a cold, exhausted, and undertrained to extent since I have been training for aesthetics versus strength. After going 7/9, I ended with a total was approx 1350lbs @ 191lbs. I am super appreciative of @wolf_rider_ for consistently supporting me throughout my training, @marshallevns for constantly being a my own personal platform for critiquing and brainstorming for my training endeavors, @the_greatgambino and @inspiredleprechaun for making the trip to support me on Sunday, @donte_dawood for being a great friend throughout the weekend, and @versatilephysique for sharing the platform with me.
