From the moment we stepped off the boat and landed on the island and were greeted by the staff with a vigorous welcome song, we fell in love with Octopus Resort. Our accommodation was in clean little huts with comfortable king sized beds and romantic outdoor bathrooms with strategically placed ferns. From every corner of the resort, the sandy beach is only a few metres away and boasts a long row of comfortable reclining deck chairs and comveniently located beach side Coconut bar. The pool is only a few metres back, overlooking the ocean and comes equipped with all manner of kids toys and noodles including a blow up gerkin. The resort also has a dive and snorkel office with a reef that is home to beautiful coral and fish of all colours, shapes and sizes. For terrestrials, there is even a mountain to climb. The food is fantastic and plentiful from a buffet breakfast and egg station and off the menu lunch and dinner with buffet bbq nights and fijian feasts. But best of all are the staff. They are happy, playful, respectful and kind. They adore children(I rarely held my infant) and have a kid's club as well as babysitting for $7fjd/hr of which we took full advantage! Other activities include yoga- morning and evening, volleyball at 4pm, crab racing, coconut bowls, movie nights by the pool and fiji beer. I cannot gush enough. Argh! Take me back!
