Occlusion training (Blood Flow Restriction) ⁉️💪🏻💥
➡️➡️This is just as effective in building strength using more than 50% lighter weight. This drastically improves endurance all while lowering joint stress! The body contains two types of muscle fibers: type I (endurance) and type II (power and explosiveness). Blood flow restriction increases the exhaustion of the type II very quickly which leads to quicker activation of your type I fibers. The early activation of type I leads to hypertrophy which then leads to increased muscle volume. The body responds to the pooling of blood into the muscle while being restricted by releasing an increased amount of growth hormone. Your muscles will feel like a balloon 🎈 being filled up. This increases vascularity as well! THOSE VEINS WILL BE SCREAMING! These bands should not be cutting off blood flow but RESTRICTING.
After a high volume arm day, try finishing with some occlusion training by performing 4 sets of 20 reps with 25% of your 1 rep max. Do this for both biceps and triceps. (Db curls, cable press down). DO NOT USE FOR YOUR WHOLE WORKOUT. This is simply just a finisher for your muscles.
