We are two days out from show time so I wanted to take a moment to look back on my rehab and prep journey. The first set of shots is from my first week back in the gym after my hip surgery and the last is just a few short weeks ago. •
In the beginning I was so discouraged by not being able to throw weight like I used to. Growing up an athlete I thought I would keep my body forever. Now, I’m just two days out from my first BIKINI COMPETITION! Next week I begin, what I call, “beefing season”. The beginning of my one year journey to the #europagames of 2019. •
Hurting my hip and having surgery was devastating for me and so many nights I was in tears wanting to quit. I have learned so many times over that fitness is a lifestyle, not hobby. You have to push through the pain, push through the “I’m not feeling it today” and push through the “I’m too sore”. This may just be my prep show, but it has meant the world to me. •
Fight the struggle! Find a partner who will go to the gym with you and grow with you. If not, grab a friend who will go with you, create a Hustle soundtrack that will motivate you, find a podcast that will get you in the mood- you just need that one thing to keep you grinding and get you there!
