After it finally has gone to the rightful owner, I can post these photos publicly! I love marine organisms and I love crocheting them. As a marine biologist, I enjoy, at least trying, to pay attention to the detail of the organism I recreate, while adding it a little fluffy cuteness that crocheted dolls can give. This Oarfish though, it was a pain because as you may know, it is still a mysterious creature that lives in the deep sea and the few sightings are mostly the dead ones that are beached. Plus, they are gigantic (can be 17m long according to @natgeo ) so it’s hard to get a full picture without distortion. Anywho, using some imagination and putting different photos together, here it is! A Giant Oarfish (Regalecus glesne), or it could be any Oarfish really haha (family: Regalecidae). To my dear friend Pauline!
