I've been feeling more motivated than ever to push my body to see what It can do. 20 Years Young, striving to become better at my craft each and every day. Today, I filled the Incline machine up with plates for some good reps. There is a couple reasons I believe everyone who exercises who at least have some type of weight training in their routine. Not only does weight training have metabolism boosting, muscle building, fat burning, cardiovascular, and major joint benefits (if form is done correctly) the mental therapy it provides is like no other. Getting stronger and looking better every week is an extremely uplifting feeling. Sure, cardio is great. But, it's the same thing session after session. 30 minutes of the treadmill or bike will always be 30 minutes on the treadmill or bike. You can always go for faster miles or higher Incline, but in my experience getting stronger is a much better feeling. For me, if I'm having a bad day I can look forward to going to the gym and taking my mind away from whatever is bothering me. I know that for the one hour I'm in the gym, everything in the outside world is drowned out. It's my time to enjoy my hobby and become better at what I love to do. The endorphins that are released during weight training is all I need.
