My skin looks weird since only half the spray tan has come off lol 😂 this is a 12 day difference or so. On the left, that was towards the end of the depleting phase of my show which was about 4 days out. The picture on the right was yesterday! It's amazing what calories can do to your body, your mood, energy levels, pretty much everything. Your food intake/types of foods you eat control so many variables about you that you don't even know. Hormones, Serotonin, Dopamine, Norepinephrine, physical appearance, confidence levels, literally everything. I just need to watch my carb intake for now to make sure I don't get too bloated, going from no carb to high carb can cause severe water retention so I found it's best if I taper up. Calories are still high from healthy fats and lean proteins though. It feels great to be enjoying life and to have energy and feel motivated in the gym! I'm still adjusting to feeling normal again. That prep definitely taught me to enjoy life outside of fitness because fitness is a lifestyle but I want to try and learn new things and be versatile! It's strange to me only going to the gym once a day feels weird since I went twice for so long 😅😂 with time, though, everything will be back to normal again. Slowly but surely 😄

Drained of energy not feeling 100% still got get those back gains though, came to the gym yesterday morning but after waking up sick in the early hours of the morning just couldn't get the energy up but felt a bit better tonight I don't know what's wrong with my body at the moment I used to never get sick

POST CONTEST REBOUND - This is barely 10 days apart. I looked SO skinny! You see.. After a show, your body is starved, flat, deprived, depleted, and ready to soak up nutrients. It's common for guys to easily gain 15-20 pounds after a show within the first couple of weeks easily. This is known as the "Post Contest 'Anabolic' Rebound". Ever since I have been able to incorporate more calories into my daily diet and cut back cardio (not completely) I have been filling out like a sponge and my strength goes up significantly every single workout. You have two choices after a show: You can jump on a clean diet with high calories, get back in the gym and still do some cardio and stay lean, vascular, and hard and just fill out and look the best you've looked in your life. Or, you can binge for weeks (this is very common and causes eating disorders which is why some people shouldn't compete) not get back in the gym at all, and gain fat rapidly. I chose to get back on the grind. I still do 45-60 minutes of cardio a day, but I eat enough food (LOTS of healthy fats, carbs around workouts and in the morning, high protein) to stay growing! And I have plenty of ENERGY to kill the weights! Of course the day after the show I probably ate 20,000 calories or more worth of junk, but that's one or two days and then it's time to get back in the game! Baby boy sleeping in on a Saturday morning! The sign of true contentment. So, I went out last night to see my friend's band play. We went to Tijuana Flats for dinner and, y'all, I was able to get them to understand I wanted a chicken salad, no tortilla shell and no beans... took a while LOL and at the club, I didn't even drink. Who needs empty carbs and calories. Holy non-scale victory!!! I was at 258 after finishing the #smashinfrog cleanse and I'm still in the 250s after starting the whole eating thing again. My friend asked me to take him to the gym today to teach him some stuff. Homie wants to get fit and asked ME for help. That's cool! Haha. So weird! But I gladly said yes. I broke him though, lol. LOOSE SKIN TALK - Around 5 weeks out from my show I started to notice that as I was getting leaner and dropping more bodyfat, my entire body started to look more vascular, defined, and shredded. But, I wondered why my midsection (lower abs, sides, and lower back) wasn't tightening up like the rest of my body. I would later figure out it was loose skin from either being obese a couple of years back or losing weight too fast on my prep (81 pounds in 12 weeks does require a lot of skin retraction that I might've not had time for) my loose skin gave me a more soft and less defined look that I had no control over. At first, I was extremely upset about it. Dieting down below 8% bodyfat for the first time and not being able to see your mid section defined isn't the best feeling. This gave me anxiety up to the day of the show, I was afraid I was gonna look weird on stage. Then, I remembered why I did the show in the first place. Not for anyone else, except myself. And I stepped on there with confidence and not a worry in the world. Don't let your imperfections get you down, let them be motivation for you to only better yourself and prevent anymore from being brought upon you. And ALWAYS be proud of who you are!! Never ashamed.
