Dandan noodles - Loong (Eden) noodles (11.17)
I was so excited to visit this supposedly new branch of Eden noodles because EVERYONE was talking about it. But I must have gone at a really unfortunate time - 3pm on a Saturday. Both items (and probably half the menu) wasn't available.
To add insult to injury, the cashier gave me a side eye, the girl taking my order couldn't clearly tell me what wasn't available, and the nice sir (probably owner) that came in after was nice and helpful, but had just smoked heavily so it wasn't pleasant to stand close as he talked 😣
In the end we got a medium dandan noodle to share just to try it. The noodles were nice and springy, but the broth was dull (I put in 2 spoons of chilli oil to make it decent), and the mince was 1. Basically nonexistent once mixed in and 2. Had no meat flavor at all. Leftover mince from making soup base maybe? The few pieces of mince I could find were basically rubber and flavorless 🙄 also - salad leaves? Ends up soggy, doesn't complement or do anything at all for the noodle soup dish, and just makes no sense. Are spring onions too expensive these days or something?
Not impressed at all on this first visit. I would say I hope it's better next time, but it's been booted pretty far down on my to-eats now
