A lovely tribute to a most beloved intrepid New Yorker, #billcunningham . This vignette with his signature bicycle that transported him all over the city streets photographing Fashion for The NY Times, will keep his calling, always alive. Glad I spotted it in a side alcove earlier tonight. Bill spotted trends before anyone else, delighted in what new combinations of specific swirls of color, a skirt length, or fit, would suddenly appear as a sort of collective conscience of Style. His signature blue Paris workman's cotton jacket would be spotted in all neighborhoods, recording his fashion findings for us to enjoy and take note of. I think he took delight in the fun of personal style women, men, kids even pets displayed in their garb. It's nice to see this, here at the #NYHS. Love ya, miss ya, mean it!
