With the weekend coming up, here's a few tips for making the most out of your cheat meal and making sure you don't gain any unnecessary fat. This is MY opinion and what has worked for my client and myself. 🙃 .
HOW TO UTILIZE YOUR CHEAT MEAL.
🔑 Train a larger muscle group that day (legs/back) and finish with no less than 20 min cardio.
🔑 Try to have cheat meal as your post workout meal (you will utilize the calories better and won't store as much of them as fat).
🔑 Try to not have a breakfast/early day cheat meal (when you cheat early in the day you tend to have a "I already cheated I mine as well eat what I want the rest of the day" mentality). Keep it as your last or second to last meal.
🔑 Drink 1-2 scoops of protein in water 20-30 min before meal (so you won't over consume).
🔑 Don't drink your calories.
🔑 Make sure all meals are prepped/ready for the next day so you don't turn it into a full weekend binge 🔑 Do 20-35 min of fasted cardio the next day.
🔑 Listen to when your body is satisfied, NOT FULL. 🔑 MOST IMPORTANT!!! Enjoy the damn cheat meal. Don't feel guilty. Don't deem the food as "bad". It's food. .
Bonus tip!!! I like to take @blackstonelabs glycolog with my cheat/refeed to maximize the nutrient absorption of the carbs
