Check out this #teacherhack over at @nofrillsclassroom featuring some #PrettyWitty tumblers! #repost ・・・ #Twofertuesday Teacher Hacks: #fail + #win Win: Shoe organizer turned water bottle holder! Use every year by numbering each pocket. I tucked mine behind our door with some @3m heavy duty hooks so it would be low enough for all kids to reach. It worked like a charm! It also kept students IN the room for more time on task, which I loved! ❤️💛💚💙💜 Like these colorful tumblers? Check out @prettywittypaper to personalize your own or find some awesome teacher ones!

... Ciliate 1: Bonjour, mademoiselle! Ciliate 2: Bonjour...? C1: Je peux évaluer ton cilia, si tu veux. C2: er.... non merci... C1: Ton cellular body est une merveille! Un cell captivant! C'est incroyable! C2: Mais, tu es infereure al la moyenne. A bientôt. ... ... Hey, what can I say, I'm learning French and 95% of it is through Pokemon Go. It's turning out to be quite useful! Next I think I'll go to a fromagerie and talk about their "supérieur a la moyenne fromage"... or maybe their "fromage n'ira pas tres loin au combat." 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Seriously though, I love Paris so far. It reminds me of NYC, but you know... French. * * * #science#microscope#microbiology#microorganism#ciliate#protozoa#paris#france#nycteacher#travel#pokemongo
Remember the Hyde Park water I collected in London? After only a few days on the window sill, the bacteria in it has grown out of control. THIS is why you should never drink raw water. This is also why clean drinking water is so important (@jewel@projectcleanwater ). The hair-like things are bacteria, the wriggling blobs are small protozoa, and the even smaller dots all around are more bacteria. The videos go from the highest concentration of bacteria to lowest. They grow in colonies and clump together into what is called biofilm. It looks like snot in the jar. Back before Louis Pasteur ever figured out what microorganisms are, people still knew that you either has to boil water (tea) or ferment it (beer) before drinking it. I make this super serious post because I'm heading up to Amsterdam today. I could barely sleep last night... so excited! * * * #science#biology#microscope#microbiology#microorganism#bacteria#dirty#water#watersample#nycteacher#brussels#belgium#london#travel#amsterdam#pond#beer#tea#hydepark#protozoa
