I have a strong desire to feel safe. It's evident, perhaps even exacerbated, in my reactions to situations, the relationships I invest in, and the relationships I allow to invest in ME.
I'm not alone. I believe the need to feel safe is inherent. When violated, our need to re-establish a sense of safety penetrates emotional, physical, relational and spiritual aspects of life. Children's rights are violated in many ways--the physical, mental, sexual, and emotional exploitation of over 115 millions children is the global reality we live in. These children do not feel safe. These children ARE NOT safe. We can help change this!
I will be running the '17 NYC marathon on November 5th in hopes of raising $10,000 for Team World Visions child protection programs in Uganda, Kenya, Mozambique, Dominican Republic, Vietnam, Armenia, India and Bangladesh.
Every child deserves to feel safe.
The link below gives a bit more information on specific protection programs TWV is establishing (or you can check out previous posts of running pictures to read more about specific programs!) Goal: $10,000 for child protection services
Race: NYC '17 marathon
Will you join me in helping protect the rights of the vulnerable and unseen? #teamworldvision #childprotection #foreverychild #nycmarathon #marathontraining #stopthebadguys
