#WisdomWednesday I do not workout to lose weight. I workout to live the healthiest life possible.
Since starting with my 1st accountability group through Team Beachbody I lost 28 lbs. it was then that I became a believer that I can be healthy despite my weight issues. Despite still being considered overweight by the doctor's charts I can say I've gotten off 11 daily medications. My asthma issues are almost non-existent. In 2012 when I got hospitalized, I couldn't walk from the hospital bed to the bathroom. I started running in 2013. In 2014 I ran my 1st #HalfMarathon and now it's 11 weeks until my 1st #Marathon. Never say never. Never give up. Never stop believing.
Dreams are for chasing. Chase them. Chase them till you can't run anymore. Then take a deep breath and keep running.
There is nothing stopping you from reaching your dreams but you. Excuses? Obstacles? Negativity? Push through it. You and only You have the power to do anything you put your mind to. Our TIME is precious and limited so make your move. When a door closes that just means a better opportunity is coming.
Best run of the year: fifteen steady miles. Five with a friend, nyrr race in the middle, and five solo at the end. Felt great most of the way, and even did Harlem Hill three times! Funny how running goes, isn't it? Last week was awful. This week was great. Yay running! #nyrr#nycm#nycm2017
The excitement around NY is building. This year's host, Rod Dixon, started his KiDSMARATHON in LA in 2006. Two greats of our sport, Lorraine Moller and Bill Rodgers came along to support the launch. Rod continues to inspire the children just as he will inspire you when you join us in NY #NYCM#metoo#RodDixon#runfuntravels
