I've been very aware that my social media relationship is getting out of hand.

I'm grateful for the skill of reflection and meditation that's helped me be more mindful of how my choices contribute or can destroy my wellness.

I used to blame social media as some sort of evil but now I know I have a choice to create a healthier relationship with it.

My new social media relationship boundary that's been working for me is to remove the apps after sharing the posts I wanted to share.

I'm also working on not opening the up at night after my little one goes to bed and to instead open a book.
.
It's a journey but always be mindful of your actions... and thoughts.. they matter.

This week I followed through and meal prepped a soup and this dessert.
.
I've been keeping thing real simple but delicious with meal prepping which helps reduce the pressure to cook at the end of a hard day.

I prep breakfast for the week in 30 minutes then make a soup which takes a total of an hour and while the soup is simmering down I make a dessert for the week.
.
Of course we make some quick week day meals to change things up but the soup so good you want it twice... or trice..😉

There's nothing more comforting and satisfying as eating porridge and drinking hot chocolate on a cold winter day.

Note to self homegrown radish greens of all types ( daikon radish greens are my favorite so far) are great in soups but not so great in stir fry!

Nine months ago I️ started the NTP program without really knowing how the program or the knowledge I️ learned would change me. While I️ had already figured out the nutritional basis of what worked for me, I️ didn’t realize how many factors truly contributed to wellness. My medical training taught me a lot about disease process and treatment but not how to fix the root cause of the problem or why the symptom or disease may be present. Looking at the continuum from optimal health to chronic disease management and understanding the powerful role that nutrition plays has been incredibly empowering. We each have the opportunity to make a future for ourselves and our family that is better and healthier. I️ feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to share this information with others and partner in their journey to wellness as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner.

Love making them and they can be the best snack or meal depending on what you put in them. This one is a superfood smoothie made with strawberries, cucumbers, raw almonds, chia seeds, acai powder, ginger, lemon, and a bit of raw purslane, and mint leaves. 🍓🍓🍓It was heavenly and very filling. No sugar or dairy needed. I think instead of cooking I will go back to smoothies for some detox days. Need to stock up the kitchen for smoothie ingredients.
