Today's Lunch -Healthy Fish Pie- cooling outside Fish Pie is one of my favourite British meals- It's made of 3 types of fish, usually cod, salmon and smoked haddock, in a creamy cheesy sauce topped with mashed potato and baked in the oven突 however, the traditional version is quite unhealthy But luckily, my fave chef @jamieoliver has a healthy version for every unhealthy recipe Inspired by his Curried Fish Pie recipe, I created this Spicy Curried Fish Pie休 with Wholegrain Mustard Cherry Tomatoes and Sauteed Spinach It tastes absolutely amazing! I was having quite a poor afternoon.

I only trained 3 exercises and then stopped as I couldn't get into it.

I was stressing about an allergy.

The weather was awful.

All in all I felt pretty low.

HOWEVER! I instructed a #PureCycle class this evening and now I feel great!

Exercise really can help cheer you up and make you feel good again!

The things one needs to do when you nearly run out of crunchy almond butter from @meridianfoods. Making sure is spread evenly on the slice and the jar is clean -if you know what I mean . If you havent tried the crunchy one I will dare and say that youre missing out.
Almond/Nut butter is a great source of the good fats - mostly monounsaturated, protein and fibre + small amounts of iron, magnesium, potassium, zinc and Vitamin E.
Fat is vital for human survival. It helps absorb minerals and vitamins, builds cell membranes, protects the organs and is a primary source of energy! The good ones are the unsaturated fats(monounsaturated and polyunsaturated) and the less good are saturated and trans fats.
A good nut butter shouldnt contain anything else than nuts and probably a pinch of salt. Many commercial butters contain added sugar and hydrogenated oils aka trans fats - the bad guy that increases shelf life. Avoid the traps from the shelf of supermarkets by reading the labels and taking responsibility for what you purchase and put in your basket. Or make your own butter.

I have a strong belief that before you carb up for a competition, you should know whether you are ready or not. When I took this picture, I was hungry, but I was ready.

THE CATERPILLAR DID NOT REMAIN STUCK WAITING TO BECOME A BUTTERFLY.

Too many of us are stuck; frozen and overwhelmed by thoughts of the journey towards becoming the person we want to be.

From losing old habits, to leaving people behind, and learning new things, the fear of change, and true sacrifice, is preventing you from growing your wings.

What would happen to the Caterpillar if, instead of digesting itself (yes, it goes through what I can only imagine to be a terribly painful process before becoming the beautiful Butterfly we admire), it stopped and thought about the pain, discomfort, and demise during the process?

Do you think it would still want to transform?

Well would you?

That is exactly what you are doing when you get detered by the hard work and process... You stop yourself from becoming a Butterfly who flies.

YOU HAVE TO LET GO OF THE OLD UNHELPFUL PARTS OF YOU TO BECOME THE BETTER YOU.

A few weeks of getting my diet back in order and Im weighing in at 180 lbs in the morning fasted. Now that Ive got a good base back, time to build. Itll be much harder this year since Ill be in a fire academy till February.

One of the things I have learned to appreciate, and now, humbly accept, is that although we may truly want something, plan for it, and maybe even clear and prepare for it, if it is not for you, it will not come, or not stay.

Look at all the millions of people who play the lottery. Most wonder why they have not won (I know I do! lol) . I mean look at you, you are kind, caring, giving and a good person; you would use that money to help so many. However, have you thought that, that is the exact reason why you have not won?

There is a Higher intelligence that knows what is truly for your Higher Good. So yes, I do not doubt that you would be charitable and change the lives of those around you, but have you for one minute thought about the consequences of this? Maybe the change of direction will mean you missing an important life lesson, or attracting danger into your life.

Maybe the injection of cash into the lives of your loved ones may change their life for the worse, or cause them harm.

The same goes for our hopes, dreams, and wishes for others, as with our desire to pass through situations, recover from illnesses, heal others who are unwell or in need of support.

If, it does not truly serve their / your Higher Good, it is not (yet) meant to be... or will maybe never be.

Humbly add this Rider to your prayers, meditations, requests, and well wishes for yourself and others. "If it is for my (their) Higher Good, let it come into fruition." Learn to accept what is truly for you, and humbly appreciate that there is a greater, Higher Knowledge that knows what is not.

DON'T LET THE TITLE BLIND YOU.

I meet so many people who tell me about their insecurities when having to deal with those they feel are more qualified, knowledgeable, or Senior than them.

Some hear the title 'Doctor', & instantly feel less than; believing they will see them as less than, or see no value in their individual experiencing & input.

Nine out of ten times, this is merely a projection of their own feelings of not being enough. The other person does not subscribe to their belief system, & therefore, in front of them, they simply see another human being.

Conversely, years after making acquaintance with some, some have confided in me that at first meeting me, they assumed that I would be unfriendly (A Mean Girl type), materialistic, 'air headed', or not as half as travelled & skilled as I am. Why? Usually because a judgment was made based upon my exterior representation - a black woman who flies planes? Nope! It did not fit their reality or beliefs, so it just could not be. A love of fashion & design? She probably does not like or have interest in Politics, the Sciences, or Spirituality... the combination, for some, too contradictory.

When meeting people we have to remember that what we see, & how we interpret it, will always be our subconscious translation of what these things represent to us, & our world.

I have met Yogis who are tormented by their own fears & insecurities. I have met Relationship Counsellors who reside in unhappy marriages, just as I have met teenagers who are full of wisdom & knowledge (teaching me so much). My point? Do not let anyone's title lead you into making assumptions about who they are; whether that be a positive assumption or negative one.

Simply allow the light in you, to see & greet the light in them.

Underneath all the titles, fancy clothes, & social standing, sits a Spirt, a oneness, that connects us all. Look for & acknowledge that, first. The rest? well that becomes unearthed when we put aside our assumptions & projections, & allow the other to show us who they are.

The light in me, sees & greets the light in you.... whether that be me in red heels & lipstick, or bare foot meditating in a forest.
