While doing my grocery shopping at the weekend, I found some purple sweet potatoes 😱 🙌🏾You know I just had to buy them because I’ve been dying to know what they taste like! So my seven year old son came home today and said, "Momma, I know how babies are made." Oh great, I thought. I'm so not ready for this talk. Before I could open my mouth, he blurts out, "Babies are made every time people kiss. I heard it at lunch. See ya!" And off he went to play. 😳 I'm still not sure what to say to him but I do know this coconut chicken noodle soup was really good. Make it➡➡ sauté a cup each of thinly sliced bell pepper and white onion in a 2 tbs of avocado oil. When softened, add one can of coconut milk and 6 cups of chicken stock (homemade if ya got it). When it's at a simmer, add two cups of shredded chicken, a cup of snap peas, 1 heaping tbs of sriracha and about 5 oz of rice noodles. Cook until the noodles are done then squeeze in some lime juice. Add some cilantro and chili slices on top.

Christmas break doesn't even start until next Thursday and I'm already kinda-sorta dreading it. My kids are three and seven so whether they are friends or foes changes minute to minute. Tonight they tried "surfing" together on the three year old's vinyl napped mat which ,of course, ended in disaster. It's a good thing dinner wasn't. Cauliflower Hummus with sautéed organic chicken liver.! I don't consume legumes therefore I did not use chickpeas in Hummus, made it with steamed cauliflower florets, avocado, garlic cloves, cilantro (opt), tahini, lemon j, o.oil, salt and cumin.! Being creative is a good way of consuming more vegetables on a paleo diet.!

Beetroot & cauliflower purée konjac noodles! •


➡️Boil beets and cauliflower then purée until silky smooth. + S&P to taste. ➡️add to konjac noodles. ➡️Toss in some thinly sliced red onion. ➡️Top with rocket, spinach, more red onion and some dry baked thinly sliced beetroot. •(Not pictured: I later added 3 eggwhites that I scrambled in a pan without oil and added aggressively, ruining any aesthetics) & obviously you can add any protein you want and this dish would still be incredibly delicious

Fenugreek leaves are nutritious af. You can easily search the benefits of these potent greens online, but I have to mention protein content here...4g per 100g serving - approx 8-10 grams in one cup! Pretty awesome👌. The recipe for this #antiinflamatory fenugreek and spinach soup is as follows: 🌱brown 3-4 cloves of chopped garlic in two tbs of coconut oil in a pot 🌱add tsp of cumin seeds 🌱once an aroma kicks in, add a quarter to half tsp of turmeric and salt to taste 🌱add 2 cups of washed fenugreek leaves and 1 cup spinach (you can adjust according to how chunky you want your soup) 🌱stir all ingredients on medium heat for a couple minutes and then add 4 cups of water 🌱bring to a boil and simmer on low/med heat for around 15 minutes until the leaves are softened 🌱optional: you can add some chopped green chilies or additonal spices for a kick. We normally eat this with rice or #khichdi , which is a rice and moong lentil mash.

My current post workout refuel 🙌🏽 just a big ole fruit salad to restore my glycogen levels and initiate the recovery of my muscles.
I’m currently following a LCHF (low carb high fat) based nutrition plan and this is the ONLY carbohydrates I’m consuming on a a daily basis. The result: better energy, improved brain function, more efficient and effective fat burning throughout my whole day as well as improved insulin sensitivity and improved sense of humor (that last one is debatable 😝).

Oh hi there 👋. It’s been a while. I lost my phone at the beach this week after snapping a shot of this deliciousness. A huge wave 🌊 made it to our towels. Roasting up a tray of vegetables such as zuchini, beetroot, carrot, onion, garlic, and eggplant is a great way to get some meal prep done and load up on veggies throughout the week. Serve them up with salads or with your choice of protein on the side. If you choose to roast more starchy veggies like sweet potato and pumpkin, the act of cooking, cooling then reheating helps to convert those starches to resistant starches which feeds your gut bacteria 💙

2. Line a baking dish with foil
3. Clean chicken and add to pan

After a long day that started before the sun came up I wanted a super easy dinner. I opened the fridge and found a couple of left over grilled chicken breasts, romaine lettuce and vegetables. Topped with organic honey crisp apple slices, toasted pecans and lime vinaigrette. Easy Peasy, filling and delicious.

RAW GOLDEN PILI LATTE Author: Pili Pushers Prep time: 5 mins Cook time: 3 mins Total time: 8 mins Serves: 1 A classic comforting, warm, and boldly spiced turmeric milk with a hint of sweetness. 120ml Water 30g Pili Pushers Ginger & Turmeric Pili Nuts 1/4 tsp Ground Cinnamon 1/2 tsp Raw Honey / Coconut Sugar Pinch of Ground Black Pepper Optional 1/4 tsp Ground Ginger 1/4 tsp Ground Turmeric 1/4 tsp Ground Cardamom

Blend all ingredients together for 3 minutes and its ready to drink!

Back home and so have access to my freezer full of organmeat. Starting my weekend off with some organic pasture raised turkey hearts from @greenagturkeys
Yesterday I cooked off a spaghetti squash so I roasted some of that with a green sauce/pistou I made up on the fly - lots of watercress, parsley, lemon juice, Himalayan salt and evoo.
Meanwhile prepped the hearts by removing the heart sack and cutting off the ends with the tubes (swipe left to see). Cut into quarters lengthwise and removed any small pieces of sinew.
Sautéed leek greens til soft then added the prepped hearts and cooked til pink all way through. Added a tablespoon of maple balsamic to deglaze pan.
Served atop the squash with a side of Russian sauerkraut.
