The incredible @omantriathlonsuleimanalalalwi messaged me a few weeks ago after my Fahal Swim disaster and said he wanted me to have the chance to finish it and that he'd organize a boat and swim with me so I could finish my race. It was an incredibly kind offer and I was so grateful to him for thinking of me! So this morning was the race. I didn't want to make a song and dance of it because if I didn't finish I would be seriously devastated. I raced my same number and was so scared that cramp would set in again - but it didn't thank goodness. My most awesome training buddy @lozraz didn't even hesitate when I asked her to join me and even though a lot quicker than me, stuck next to me the whole way. I felt so confident with her there, thank you babe ❤️ @idp11 also jumped in with us for her 1st time doing Fahal. It was a perfect morning, conditions were on point, no jelly fish and great company. We smashed 4.2km in 1:37. I am beyond chuffed slicing off 23 mins from last years time and actually having fun to do it. These are some of the only people who I know that swim this distance for "fun"! Epic morning, thanks you guys, I am super grateful for having another chance with you awesome people! #FahalSwim #Number98 #OpenWaterSwimming #SeaSwim #SwimFishySwim #Fahal.
