Morning! ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿผ Er moet me eeeeeven iets van 't hart. Ben niet zo vaak van de enorme captions op Insta, maar wil hier toch iets over kwijt. Zie de laatste tijd steeds meer de trend ontstaan dat we ons lichaam moeten accepteren zoals het is, je trots moet zijn op je imperfecties (bestaan die..?๐Ÿค”) en je ook fit en gezond kunt zijn als je maatje meer hebt. Laat ik vooropstellen: ik ben het hier VOLLEDIG mee eens. Echt. Vol-le-dig. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐ŸปMaar waarom hangt die trend samen met dat het steeds cooler wordt om te laten zien hoeveel pizza's, hamburgers, chocoladerepen en ijsjes je naar binnen werkt? Met laten zien dat je lekker een week niet gesport hebt en hebt genoten van heel veel "slecht" eten? Waarom is het opeens niet meer cool om elkaar tips te geven om af te vallen? Waarom krijgt iemand met maatje 40, die zegt dat ze hard aan het werk is voor maatje 38 te horen "dat ze d'r lichaam gewoon moet accepteren"? Nogmaals: ik ben voorstander van trots zijn op jezelf en je lichaam, maar ik ben ook echt voorstander voor het goed voor jezelf รฉn je lichaam zorgen. Fit zijn betekent mijns inziens een fitte geest in een fit lichaam. Fit is een breed begrip, dus een fit lichaam betekent niet per definitie maatje 36, maar het betekent wel dat je er goed voor zorgt. Dat je het voedt, ipv volpropt, dat je het in beweging houdt, ipv stil laat zitten, en dat je het blijft challengen. En dat hetzelfde voor je geest. Sporten is goed voor je lichaam en je hersenen. Groenten zijn goed voor je lichaam รฉn je hersenen. Fit zijn is goed voor je lichaam รฉn je hersenen โ˜บ๏ธ En jaaaa, bij een fitte lifestyle past wat mij betreft ook chocola en bier (daar hou ik van as you all know โ˜บ๏ธ), maar de trend dat chocola, bier, taart, pizza's en hamburgers maken dat we gelukkiger worden vind ik geen fijne trend... I seasoned my chicken using @thecoconutcompanyco all purpose amino sauce with some @sukrinuk gold for added sweetness. ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ I tried the amazing purple carrots and golden beetroot from my @abelandcole box which I would highly recommend. I've never had golden beetroot before but it's so much tastier than normal beetroot! I also had little gem lettuce, cauliflower, pomegranate seeds and feta cheese crumbled on top ๐Ÿ˜

This is no ordinary piece of napkin. It is pure love. Today was a very busy day with clients and catching up on emails, so it was even more important for me to remember to take some time to just breathe and chill for 5 minutes.

It's so easy to get swept up in being on the go all the time, especially when your energy is high, but it's crucial to get balance and stop occasionally.

Mediterranean Quinoa Bowl with Lemon Oregano Dressing ๐ŸŒฑ

Quinoa, Chickpea, Zucchini, Cucumber, Cherry Tomato, Olives, Lemon, Olive Oil, Dried Oregano, Fresh Oregano and Salt๐Ÿด

โ€ข Cook 1 cup quinoa in 2 cups water (if you like onions, saute some in a frying pan with olive oil and add quinoa to pan once cooked, stir and keep warm until remaining ingredients are ready)
โ€ข Place 1 can of rinsed chickpeas on baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil, pinch of salt and garlic powder. Cook at 400 for 15 minutes.
โ€ข Chop zucchini, Place on baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil, pinch of salt, dried oregano and garlic powder. Cook at 400 for 15 minutes.
โ€ข Wash and chop cherry tomatoes and cucumber
โ€ข Once all ingredients are cooked add to bowl together with olives and toped with avocado and Lemon Oregano Dressing
โ€ข Lemon Oregano Dressing - In a blender add 1/4 cup olive oil, 1/2 lemon - squeezed, 1/4 cup loosely packed fresh oregano, 1 clove of garlic and 1/4 tsp salt. Blend and serve.

Relax this Saturday with a very blue breakfast and some yummy @nothingbutthefruit mixed berry fruit bites. You can never have enough blue in your life.
For Chia Pudding
1/4 cup chia seeds
1-2 tsp blue spirulina
1 cup non-dairy milk

Whisk chia ingredients in a bowl until well combined. Place in the fridge overnight. I layered chia pudding, blue flowers, and @nothingbutthefruit mixed berry fruit bites. I topped mine with more yogurt, extra mixed berry fruit bites, and blue flowers.
