I’ve been to a lot of conferences before, but this past weekend at #paystobebrave was different.

I’ve never experienced such incredible energy in one place.
I’ve never seen 500 women who were so supportive of one another, especially women who many, did the same thing. Most women would be so competitive and come from a scarcity mindset, but not these women.
.
I listened to incredible words spoken and got to chat afterwards with so many amazing speakers.
.
I know how busy our lives can get and we can get caught in the motions of just “doing,” but this weekend really reminded me how much all of us women really are cravingggggg connection.
Deep connection.
To stop muting ourselves.
To feel heard.
To feel truly supported.
To feel like we aren’t so alone.
.
But in order to feel this, you need to open up.
You need to step forward and bring others into your life.
You need to bring people in who will listen and who will support you in the way that you need to be supported.
.
I know that you aren’t being heard the way that you need to.
I know you’ve been hitting mute and not honoring your truth and saying how you feel.

I know how deeply my life has changed when I searched for these people and brought them into my life.

I didn’t want to workout today. I pushed it off until 8 pm tonight and when 7:45 rolled around I started to come up of every excuse not to do it. It’s late I should go to sleep, I walked enough today, I need the rest, But then I remembered the messages from the girls in my accountability group of how they already got their workouts done and it pushed me to just get it done. #getitdone💪 .

Sometimes it can be hard to stick to a clean diet. We get it. The holidays are coming up which usually means more functions and socialisation. There are many way to get off track with your diet. However… there are many ways to stick to a healthy diet too. Want to know some tips to stick to your diet once and for all?
-Don’t get hungry: When we are hungry we tend to binge as our blood sugar levels are low and crave sugar and carbohydrates. Eat protein rich sources in your 3 main meals to keep you satisfied, and have a protein rich snack, such as greek yoghurt with berries and cinnamon at 3pm to keep you going until dinner time. -Start your day right: Make a couple of small changes at the start of your day and the rest will flow. Have a glass of warm lemon water followed by a green smoothie for breakfast and snack on brazil nuts for a mid morning snack. -Always make extra food at dinner time for your lunch the next day.
-Plan ahead: if you know you are going to be busy, make your meals in advance. Or you can freeze some meals for when you get stuck. -Eat tasty substitutes of your indulgence foods. Love chocolate? Make some bliss balls. Love chicken schnitzel? Coat chicken in almond meal, egg and herbs. -When eating out order a protein rich source with salad or vegetables. -Indulge once in a while (unless it will send you on a downward eating spiral). Eating a cookie can be part of a healthy life, as long as it is done with balance right?! This information may not be relevant to all patients with cancer. Make sure you speak to your health care practitioner before making any changes to your diet or lifestyle.

SCAR UPDATE. I had to make this for myself because my scars have been bumming me out lately. I’ve become more aware of how prevalent they are in certain lighting and it causes me massive anxiety to know people are looking at my face and seeing these scars so prominently! I have to remind myself that it’s just skin. It has nothing to do with my worth and in time it will be fixed. My current plan of action is to bump up to the 2mm microneedle from Own Doc about once a month until I can afford Dermapen treatments! I’m hoping to get my first Dermapen treatment in January 💉
