I wish more thought went into the free park passes this year.. If last year is any indication of this up and coming year with the loss of a female alpha and a young female wolf due to food conditioning and subsequently 6 new pups the cost has already been too high..In my humble opinion Banff and parks like it should be shared but not rammed and crowded this takes away from the visitors experience and puts wildlife at risk. Conservation and protection of the Wildlife that make Banff and places like it so special should always be a priority. Visitors should be educated better and fines should be much higher ( what's the price of a life or two or 8 ).. People should not litter at all costs, make foods stuff available, heaven forbid feed the wildlife, or put themselves and the wildlife at risk by getting close to them ( buy a nice telephoto lens if you need that close up ) these are wild animals and not a petting zoo.. I will pick up garbage when I'm out and about and dispose of it properly, you never know when it might save a life.. Just my thoughts..
