Wow, what a difference a year makes! Pic on the left is from April 2016, and the one on the right is from last weekend. I only weigh myself a few times a year so I can't say for sure how much weight I've lost, but I do know I've gone down a size or two (depending on the brand) and my fitness level and mental health have vastly improved.
I've lost weight before but it was always with an end goal...to fit into a dress, or to hit a certain weight. And I'd meet the goal and then stop! And guess what? The weight came back (and then some). Now, I'm realizing I don't want to go back, I don't want to start over. I just want to keep going...to keep getting stronger and see what my body is capable of.
If anyone is curious, I started with Jillian Michaels workouts, then did all three rounds of T25. I had cleaned up my diet a bit but wasn't really keeping track. Just this week I completed the Insanity program and followed the nutrition plan (a first for me...I hate "dieting" and exercise makes me hungry). The workouts were so hard! But I was determined to finish and I'm so glad I did. I learned how to eat properly, instead of just cut calories and hope for the best.
Now I just plan to keep going! No matter what is going on in my life, this is something I NEED to do.
