41 years ago to the summer of 1975.
The North Pacific. Searching for the Soviet whaling fleet. Standing watch on the Bridge wing of the Greenpeace V. In a Zodiac with George Korotva and photographer Rex Weyler. This was a voyage that changed my life and set the course of action for the rest of my days. Hundreds of campaigns and dozens of ships followed in a lifelong crusade that has taken me from the top of the world to the bottom and circled the globe so many times I have lost count. It has been risky but never boring because the dangers were there to savor. There have been sacrifices but overall it's been incredibly rewarding. I've made mistakes but who hasn't. Nothing gets accomplished without mistakes. But I know one thing for sure and that is until the day I die, I shall never step foot on the brakes. Life is a glorious, thrilling, sensational and exciting ride through time. And still there is a long way to go before the endless sleep and at the end I know I shall have absolutely no complaints. #northpacific #lifeofadventure #seashepherd #savetheocean #oceanlove #
