After a bowl at Nagi and some drinks in #GoldenGai, I went out for another bowl of ramen at #Ichiran. Ramen purists do not always like Ichiran as they equate it as the McDonalds of ramen. I do agree that it is overrated and it might not be worth the hour wait, but I have to say that this bowl is decent. 🍜 I just feel sorry for the smucks in NY that have to pay twice as much for the same bowl.
I felt the whole process was streamlined to get you in and out, which is how ramen should be, but they make the customer peel their own eggs? What are we, animals?? The noodles were typical white, thing, straight noodles but they still had a grainy uncooked texture. That is partially my fault as I asked for firmer noodles. The real star was the red sauce. It is not just rayu or gochujang like many other restaurants. Their red sauce has a nice vineager tang to it.
