Today is the second day of Passover. And although I'm not a religious person by any means, I'm grateful that this holiday encourages me to contemplate and appreciate my freedom. Freedom that was hard earned over many years. Freedom that I don't take for granted. Freedom that so many people on this planet sadly do not have. So on this day where many of us celebrate freedom, we must also remember that no one is free until we are all free. We must stand by our brothers and sisters in all parts of the world, all colors, all nationalities, all religions, all sexual orientations, not just our own, and fight for the freedom of all. And while this feels like an enormous task, and I too question, how on earth can we possibly get there from here, I do know that all change starts with awareness, intention and perhaps a small prayer. A prayer that one day we come to our senses and recognize what fear and division has cost us. That each of us reach out in whatever way we can, and stand for those who cannot stand for themselves. A prayer that one day we can live together, peacefully, without walls and without wars.
May all beings who walk this earth be free, be liberated. 💜
