Thanks to @docreativeideas for this 'Ajala' (@theajalaproject) inspired handmade doll. I can't wait to take Ajala with me to every new country that I visit and photograph him in front beautiful landmarks and with inspiring folks. Olabisi Ajala, famously known as 'Ajala' is the African version of Marco Polo. He visited over 87 countries over a period of 6 years, mostly on a scooter to promote a message of tolerance and equality. He met with many heads of states around the world, including Ronald Reagan.
Despite the brutalities and racial stereotyping he experienced during his travels, he still believed in the good of humanity and compassion from people of different cultures and beliefs. In his words. "I have observed different political regimes both in democratic and communist states. I have met with brutality and racial intolerance. I have felt the bitter evil of man's inhumanity to man, and have marveled at the goodness of the humane-hearted". If you would like to meet Ajala or take a photo with him, let me know :) I'll be in Beirut from August 22nd to 27th, New York from September 3rd to 20th and then back to Dubai. If you're in any of this places around this time and would like to catch up, send me a shout 🙌🏾
