Week 1 has been a culinary delight, capped by a wonderful Saturday night dinner with @midunu. I wasn’t surprised (I expected good things!) but I was certainly impressed. It’s exciting to watch the elevation of “our” cuisine, and the innovation taking place on the continent. I’m excited to watch how tried and tested culinary techniques can be applied to our ingredients and dishes, without going the “fusion” route, to make create mass market appeal. I am especially pleased to see an African female chef leading the way. Oh and the chocolate... The CHOCOLATE 😍😍😍. Marcolini, Herme, and Young be damned! . . . . . .
We are super excited about our sold out nomadic dinner this Saturday which pays homage to the amazing superfoods of Africa.
