I used to run on sugar, caffeine, and processed foods... Mountain dew, bread, and fudge rounds were my jam :P In fact, I chose the picture of Pepsi and a Snickers bar on purpose because that was one of my favorite treats (or ahem...lunches) when I was in college! 😱🙊 I had gained weight, had stomach pains, incredibly difficult and painful PMS and rosacea to name a few things that I acquired from these habits over the years!
NOW, I run on vegetables, fruits, protein, healthy fats, and focus on eating as many natural whole foods as possible....I lost weight, my hormones are WAY better (bye bye PMS!), my rosacea is gone, and no more stomach pains!
There wasn't really one BIG thing that made me change my life. And it certainly didn't happen overnight. It was a series of small decisions that I made over a long period of time.....THEN Beachbody came into my life and introduced Shakeology, at home workouts, support and accountability. And SOMEHOW it made working out at home FUN! (before, I had a stack of DVD's I would occasionally pull out but almost never use - sound familiar?) :) Participating in a challenge group helped me become much more consistent on the fitness side of things and I started to see my body changing even more than before - and I liked it (hello consistency!) I got to experience the support of other women going on the same journey and it became FUN!
