Once in a while, I like to tell you amazing #nicestories
Today I found in the networks an article about #TildaShalof.
She spent nearly three decades as an ICU nurse in Toronto. Over the years she collected medicine caps and lids, IV tubes and syringe covers. Usually, the bits of plastic are tossed in the trash but to her, the plastic pieces are not garbage.
Tilda sees a beauty in the refuse — beyond the vibrant colours and pretty shapes — that remind her of lives lost and saved.
After more than a quarter century, she turned her collection into a massive mural creating a colourful mosaic of more than 10.000 pieces embedded in clear resin (1.2 metres high and 2.7 metres long) which now hangs at Toronto General Hospital. Shalof hopes it provides both comfort and inspiration to hospital staff and patients.
In my Facebook page (link in bio) I left the the original article with a nice video.
