So TMX yesterday, wheeeewee! It really is the #WorldsToughestMile! 10 obstacles, 10 functional fitness stations, all packed in to one mile. A month ago when this event was announced, I'd never done an atlas lift and didn't even know what a "clean" was. When I had the opportunity with Tough Mudder to test out some of the fitness stations, it did NOT go well. I got stuck at the atlas lift, trying to lift 100lbs on to the pedestal, until the time cut off. Ive spent the last month learning the proper body motions involved in clean and jerks, heavy lifting, kipping, and I even attended some CrossFit classes. Sooo yesterday, I'm pretty stoked that I was able to get through the course and lift everything (first try!) before the time cut off! I can't win them all, and a course like this was definitely way out of my element, but I'm proud of my result 😊💃💃 I've had a lot of fun over the past month learning so many new things to incorporate in to my training!
Big thanks to Tough Mudder for managing to put this industry altering event together in under 6 months. Also big congrats to my husband @ryanatkinsdiet on your 2nd place finish! The fact that you can run 24hrs then kick butt in an event that's literally the complete opposite is mind blowing and inspiring. If you're not a cyborg, then you're at least a Ry-borg ❤️🤘 #TMX @tough_mudder #EscapeTheOrdinary #NoDayWasted @goattough @beetelite
