I am not gonna say I hate you but this excercise sucked. I've been playing for going on 30 years now and there was a time where I was woodshedding too. Practicing scales, triplets, Paul Gilbert runs, some Malmsteen, some up to speed. Never arpeggios really, and definitely never something where the left hand is doing stuff so wacky... I didn't have a lot of time for this. Maybe 2hrs all added up. Best I can do right now. But! You set me off. I did not know I COULD do that. Meaning, move my fingers like that in a coordinated way and learn something so intricate at this old age. So I am going to keep at it. And maybe get out some of the old tab books.
In the end, your little videos blow my mind because it's both musical and technical and I feel I haven't really seen somebody doing what you do. That's meant as a huge compliment if that wasn't clear, very inspiring. Maybe post more of these challenges?
Well, I guess what I am trying to say is Thank You!
And for what it's worth, here are the best takes I could commit to video, I chose my friends old '91 RG550 for the occasion...
