I was shaking as they escorted me to the court room. I knew that they were going to plead guilty... I also knew that I was not guilty at all. I was cuffed and two guards were keeping an eye on me, like I was some kind of criminal... Like I was a man who was capable of murdering his own father. A big wooden door was opened in front of me. The room was big and there was a lot of press inside. "Great" I hissed through my teeth, as one guard pushed me into the room. The cameras started clicking and flashing straight away. "Fucking vultures" One of the guards said. "I know" the other one answered. I was thinking the exact same thing, the press had been following the whole case, from arrest, to release, to jail, to this moment right here... The moment that was going to decide my future. "Settle down" the judge said, as he tried to calm the crowd. I looked behind me and saw my mom and sister, we made eye contact... They looked frightened... They were scared of me. At that moment, Cason walked in. He was wearing a suit and tie and had his hair brushed back. "Sorry for being late your honour, I had some things to do" he apologised. "As we all know, my beloved partner and friend, Elizabeth, has been missing for some time now. We found the bastard who did it... But Elizabeth is still not found... your honour, please proceed" he said, as he sat down with his smug smile. "Mister Da Silva, please stand up" the judge told me. I got up from my chair and heard the crowds whisper behind my back. "You are being charged with two cases of first degree murder and one case of kidnapping" he said. I gasped for air. "K-kidnapping your honour?" "The kidnapping of Elizabeth... There is evidence that is enough for us to charge you with kidnapping" Cason smirked. "You asshole!" I yelled, as I ran towards him. I knocked him to the ground with my chest. "I love her, I love Elizabeth, I would never do anything like this! You know that!" "Mister Da Silva, sit down!" the judge said as one of the guards grabbed me and pushed me back into my chair. My blood was boiling, I was not going to jail... Not now, not ever, I was going to do whatever is would take.
