Far out, I was treated to an extraordinary #KissMyAirs helicopter ride to launch the new @nikerunning #Vapormax . I've got my third half marathon coming up soon (plus my fourth City2Surf & fifth Tough Mudder this year), so am VERY happy to have a new running buddy! I run so that I can eat more CAKE... It's the only responsible thing to do 🍰🏃🏻‍♀️

Técnicas que aceleram a recuperação e ajudam você a não sofrer com desconfortos nos treinos!

Quem corre está sempre sujeito a desconfortos musculares provocados pelo exercício intenso. Eles acontecem porque, durante o exercício, os músculos realizam grande esforço para tirar o corpo da inércia e movimentá-lo, além de receberem boa parte do impacto da força de reação ao solo (que vem do chão após cada pisada) e absorverem essa sobrecarga para aliviar as articulações. Por tudo isso, é natural terminar um treino ou prova com os músculos cansados e doloridos.
Alivie a dor:
Existem algumas técnicas interessantes que ajudam a relaxar a musculatura e minimizar as dores depois de correr, permitindo que você volte mais rápido a treinar com qualidade. Uma das mais conhecidas é a CRIOTERAPIA. Mergulhar as pernas por alguns minutos em uma banheira ou um barril com gelo promove efeito analgésico, melhora a circulação sanguínea e acelera o reparo do tecido muscular.
Outros métodos que também auxiliam na recuperação são a MASSAGEM ESPORTIVA e a LIBERAÇÃO MIOFASCIAL. As duas técnicas diminuem a tensão, melhoram o fluxo sanguíneo e proporcionam conforto ao atleta. Outra vantagem da liberação miofascial é que ela pode ser utilizada mesmo quando você não está com dores, para prevenir lesões. Isso porque, ela prepara o músculo para o esforço que está por vir, contribuindo com a redução de incômodos pós-treino. Associar a fisioterapia preventiva ao treinamento ainda é algo pouco utilizado pela maioria dos atletas, mas tem papel fundamental na melhora do rendimento esportivo e para minimizar os riscos de lesão.

The tough workouts we push through today, will be the success we experience down the road!
I'll be real with you...today was a tough workout. Sometimes running comes super easy to me. Other days, it's a straight up grind.
2+ miles up at 7:21/mile. Then spent 25 mins at 5:53/mile (4.25 miles) 3 min jog, 15 mins at 5:40/mile (2.6 miles) 3 min jog, and finished with 10 mins at 5:26/mile (1.83 miles). 2 miles down at 7:13/mile. At least the good news is my marathon goal pace 5:53/mile(ish) seems super easy right now which is awesome considering Boston is 3.5 weeks away!😎This will be my highest mileage week ever and I'm coming off a tough, long, workout on Sunday. Sooo. I'm not worried. Trust the process!✊🏻✌🏻🏃🏻

Je vais utiliser ces derniers jours pour arriver le jour J frais et avec l'envie. Une nutrition adaptée, du repos, et une bonne preparation mentale. Physiquement, je me sens prêt, et je veux vivre cet événement comme une fête, un accomplissement.
