My cousin Hakan completely slayed Blizzcon with his amazing Carbon Genji outfit he made by hand. Him being the bad ass that he is, promised to build me a Nihon Genji outfit (and Robyn will be getting the Halloween Mercy) for future conventions and want us to be apart of his cosplay group. Please check him out at "Deathstrike Cosplay" and my cousins cosplay group "Team Chaos Cosplay" my other cousin in that group was just featured on Blizzards Spotlight last week for her Ana costume. #cosplay#blizzard#overwatch#blizzcon2016#noctis#genji#genjicosplay#nihongenji#handmade#professionalcosplay
"Try me" (thanks @hermit_kun For taking the photo for me) Welp, first time at modesto con and I have to say, it was really fun. I was mostly on the shy side since I didn't expect to see so many people. As well as through out the con i didnt expect a lot of people to say "DO YOU NEED HEALING?" But i got to see some old friends who were doing a coverage at the con and spent my time with them for the day. I would have stayed a bit more, but my harness for my thigh armor decided to deflect itself at me and so my armor became even more crazy lmao. I will be bringing nihom genji next year, as well as sacanime this year. Going to remake him as soon as possible. (Plus my led strip was acting weird today so I went with then off)
"I need peeling" (ft. A gremlin D.va and symmetra by @therainbowcauk ) First time/day of #modestocon was pretty fun. Sadly had to leave early due to having work today. I was actually surprised to how well genji turned out, also saw quite a bit of overwatch cosplayers too, but didn't get a chance to take a picture with them though. Also repping them wonky thigh armor (gravity wasn't nice.) going to attempt making a harness system for the thighs if I decide to wear the armor again tomorrow (if i decide to go again) cut off the side panel because i was more anxious about them. If not I may do a "gentleman" nihon genji to avoid getting a heat stroke lol.
"I NEED FEELING" I have finished Nihon Genji! All that is left is attaching the swords to the back. Then he will be ready for #modestocon I certainly learned quite a bit with foam while making Genji. It certainly was something with cutting at an angle, and actually figuring out which side should cut at this angel and what not. But I am most likely going to be using it more for old/new cosplays down the road. I am 100% certain that I will be bringing him to sacanime this year, but with more lights 😅 Hopefully I'll see some of you at modesto con this weekend!
