Near Moon Lake, Utah. Congratulations to Wayne & Deann Dixon. “This is our most recent favorite Milky Way capture near Moon Lake, Utah on a photography trip to Vernal, Utah. It was amazing five nights of capturing the Milky Way! We were lucky enough to have perfect conditions most of the week to get a number of epic shots like this one," says Deann & Wayne. Jemez Springs, New Mexico
STORY: "Nature's light Show" After a week long trip in Northern New Mexico, I finally saw stars after days of constant clouds and thunderstorms. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to see the stars through thousands of trees, but 100 foot tall pines are always dwarfed by the size of the Milky Way.
We've shot here many times over the years, but we always wanted to go one better. Those who follow our Instagram Stories & Snapchat will remember how many times we've tried to nail this shot... We even had to get waders and stand in the lake at 1am in 2 degrees to capture this, but we finally did it!
For those interested, this is a single image taken on the @nikonaustralia D810 + the 14-24mm Lens. Camera settings were: 25" | f/2.8 | ISO4000 & taken with the @nisifiltersaustralia Night Filter. For prices on any of the Nisi gear, check out our website (link in our IG bio) or send us a PM! Follow our trip on our Instagram stories! 🎥
In search for Milky Way.😊🤓⭐️✨🌟 Started shooting by 11pm as it says it going to be low tide in our 3 locations. This one probably my favourite out of the 3 coz both my subject and the milky way are facing the same direction. Also, it's the easiest 😂😂 the first 2locations gave me so much anxiety. 😂😂😂 Well anyway, I'll share more photos next time. 😊
