There's a statue in Stanley Park in Vancouver that has always stood out to me. It's a statue of a Henry Winston Jerome, a Canadian track and field runner. Every time I see it I remember that verse in the Bible. It reminds me that life is not a sprint, it's a marathon, and the only way we can finish strong is to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus.
