Sometimes in life, we are faced with circumstances that will challenge us on a level we never imagined possible and we will be forced to find strength and courage we never imagined we had. Through that process, if we take the time to reflect, we discover that we are, indeed, brave. We, can, in fact, do very hard things.
Often, this discovery can have a ripple effect in other areas of our life - IF we allow it. It can be big things - like starting a business or smaller things - like trying new foods.
The last few years have been filled with challenges that made me realize I can do hard things. Instead of focusing on the hard things, I choose to focus on the fact I survived them. I am here. And I am, indeed, #BRAVEAF.
This weekend was FILLED with new things, new experiences, new revelations, new friends, and yes...even new foods. ✨
Y’all. I ate eel sauce 😳 I tried all kinds of sushi, sauces, vegetables, and textures. I even rocked out some chopsticks. Not gonna lie, some of the things creeped me out. But you know what? I didn’t die 🤷🏼♀️ And I actually LOVED almost ALL of it! ✨
So let me encourage you. Try new things. Try things again. Surround yourself with friends who encourage you to step outside of your comfort zone. What you didn’t like before, you may love now. What didn’t work before, might work like a dream now. What you may not have been ready for before, might be the thing you’re ready to rock now. Your past doesn’t say that you will or won’t fail - it says you are here, you survived, and you are brave - so BE BRAVE.
