5 years ago I started my professional career in sales selling copiers at Xerox. It was terrible but I learned an incredible amount that year, personal and professional. When I had an opportunity to get into Title insurance I jumped as quickly as I could! I had no knowledge of the real estate industry or title insurance, but I dove in. I quickly learned that I wasn't good at selling title insurance, but I intuitively figured out that if I could help realtors generate business, than in return I could get their title business. This quickly evolved into an obsession with marketing for real estate. Identifying ways to use technology and best practices of agents all across the nation to generate real estate business for my local agents. Just over two years into my title career I came home one day and told my wife that I was going to quit my job....5 months later we packed up and moved our family of 5 down to Orange County for the promise of opportunity. The first 12 months kicked our ass, but having the opportunity to work with realtors in an extremely different market was interesting for me. I then took on a position at west. I had NO idea what I was stumbling into. Over the last 15 months working as a Marketing Technology Director with Justin Tucker and the team over at west I have grown more than I have since I got into sales. I'm forever grateful for the skills I've acquired and the growth I've experienced. Not too long ago I came home and told my wife again, "I'm quitting my job." This time with a different plan, a plan to build a real estate brand that has never been seen before, a brand built on the foundation of modern marketing strategies (shoutout to Derek), a brand that believes people are the heartbeat to every business, and how we communicate with those people, though ever changing, is what will ultimately determine the business' success. I'm planning on taking my 5 years of experience consulting hundreds of realtors all across the state and filtering that down into 1 clear, concise business model that will change the way real estate is done.
