This morning was the beginning of new things for us. A morning of firsts.
First, of firsts, my first-born... he began his very last first day of school, and entered his #senioryear of high school. He has surpassed so many of my expectations, hopes and dreams I had in my children. He is turning out to be such a fine young man (as so many tell me, so I'm not just saying it cuz I'm his mom), and I couldn't be more proud. His #driveandfocus for his future is encouraging & completely inspiring. He strives to always grow in his #relationshipwithchrist and reaches farther than expectations would allow. He surprises and humbles me often, and I love it! I'm so very excited to see what this year has in store for him. #sr2019
Today also marked the first day that my girls did not attend traditional school. #unschoolingadventures It was completely surreal. We have been praying over this decision for a couple years, and at the end of last year we decided to be obedient to what the Lord laid on our hearts. We knew it was time to begin our #homeschooljourney. We are beyond measure with our mix of emotions in this journey, and are looking to Our Father's guidance daily in this. Today, we will enjoy a little more #summertimemagic with new friends & take a few more steps on our new path.
Your prayers, if you think of us, would be very much appreciated.
This whole #parentinggig is really stinkin' awesome! It is such a great responsibility & joy. I am absolutely in love with it all. 💙❤️❤️💙
