Peru has Granadilla, "the sweet passion fruit". Have you tried one? I 💛 them! Native to the Andes range, they've got an orange, harder skin that you crack into easily enough (almost like an egg), breaking both the hard outer skin and soft white 2nd layer to reveal the edible center: crunchy, slightly sour black seeds covered in clear, sweet jelly-like fruit. Looks a LOT like frog or fish eggs🤓. They're a bit slippery, easiest way to eat the fruit is to slurp 'em out! Sweet and super fun.
