Legs Eleven 😂
Repost @lisharoon: Really intriguing discussion last night with artist @aleksandra_karpowicz, discussing her project 'Let's Talk About Sex', along with arts journalist @hollytorious, sex and relationships educator who also writes a guide to sex and love on bishuk.com, Justin Hancock, and author, academic, activist, and psychotherapist @meg_john_barker. •
Aleksandra related the background of her art project, delving into erotic fantasies and role playing. She had very interesting things to say about censorship and feminism. Justin and Meg-John, who co-authored 'Enjoy Sex (How, When and If You Want To)' talked about the social, psychological, and biological aspects of sex; how humans often bring out their 'disowned selves' while acting out sexual fantasies; how fantasies can come from surviving shameful things that have occurred in one's life; being sex negative versus sex positive versus asexual; how consent feels as opposed to what it is; and the moral panic around desire.
