#neverskipmonday I got started with a fun leg workout this morning. 1 thing I've been doing in my workouts is trying moves that previously scared me or I didn't think I could do. So I just didn't even try because I didn't want to fail. .
Working on my legs and 🍑 is my current challenge. I have always hated my legs until recently. I used to only workout my abs because a flat tummy in my unhealthy brain was the only measure of fitness. Now, I never work my abs exclusively and hardly give a $h1t about a flat tummy (though it is nice! 🤓). Strong and toned legs and arms are the most important to me now and I love working it all. .
These explosive kneel squat tuck jumps (inspired by @katiecrewe ) are one of my new favorite things and a lot harder than they look. 4 weeks ago I couldn't even figure out how to get off my knees. Then I got that down and added in the tuck jump. Now, I add 2x15 of these + explosive lunges as burnout moves at the end of my leg days. So fun. #motivationmonday

BTW it's cold and foggy and I have no sun hence the long sleeves (!!!). I'm going through serious sun and #vacaywithdrawals at this point. I need my rays! 😱☀️

I used the #LegExtension alternatives from last week plus I tried a new one using #TRX .

I found that after doing the #sissysquats for about a year without really feeling its effect, I got the form right today! Wow. Those puppies were burning! I usually hold a weight for added challenge...but the way I was doing them, I did NOT need to do that. 😳.
. *the key is to push back into the bar holding you and forcing the quads to pull your body weight up when you squat down (deep). .
If you add a tight 🍑 squeeze at the top, you'll find your whole legs twitching by the end of the set! 🔥 🔥 🔥 .
