When you thought the day was amazing already, then he goes and makes a fire in the backyard fire pit after the kids fell asleep to cuddle together around and share some nice kid free time under the stars. 💖💖💖😊💖🌙⭐ #hegetsme #hemaksmehappy #fire #cuddleweather #moonandstars #heismysunandihismoon #natureworshippers #heathens #oregonliving #bliss #blessedlife #ilovehim

Beautiful old Celtic cross.

These crosses emerged from Ireland and Britain in the Middle Ages.

Some believe the ring on the Celtic cross means the Roman Sun-God Invictus. As a result many people often refer to the the cross as a Celtic Sun Cross.

A more Christian theory is that the ring is a halo and that the cross represents Jesus Christ. It is also thought that the Christian monks combined the sun-god idea with the christian cross to broaden the appeal to Irish pagans. ~

Ziro, famous for its bamboo plantations, pine hills and mountain rice cultivation, is also famous for its fascinating Apatani people. One of the 26 tribes of Arunachal Pradesh, the Apatanis are of Tibetan origin who migrated in mid 19th C through two places- Talley Valley and Biirii to finally settle down in the Ziro valley.Traditionally the men were hunters and the women of the tribe were excellent weavers and were also considered the most beautiful in all of Arunachal Pradesh. In order to make them look less appealing to the men of other tribes, they were tattooed on their faces and were made to wear massive nose plugs, a tradition that does not exist anymore. The Apatanis are one of the few tribes in the world who continue to worship the nature and coexist in complete harmony with it.By rearing fish in the rice fields, they have developed their own unique sustainable method of cultivation. We were extremely fortunate to interact with the three generations of Apatanis through the Basti's of Hije and Hong during their ongoing Myoko festival #curtaincalladventure #curatedtours #curatedtravelexperience #curatedtourofnortheast #northeastdiaries #traveldiaries2018 #arunachalpradesh #peopleofindia #peopleofnortheastindia #tribesofindia #localpeople #hilltribes #culture #heritage #conservation #triballife #natureworshippers #interestingpeople #uniquetribe #livingculture #needtopreserve #portraits #portraitphotography #blackandwhitephotography @curtaincalladventures

"THE WORLD WHICH TAKES BACK TO THE MYTH ERA " The Human God : THERE (BhootaKola /Theyyam) - Gejja Sadhe Kepaaaa?? (Wondering on the bell sound)...🔔🔔🔔 One of the Theyam is called Agni Kanda Karnan.
Agni Kanda Karnan was the son of Lord Shiva. He was born inside Shiva’s Throat (Kanda) and ejected through his Ear (Karna) – thus the name Kanda Karnan.

He was born to cure the small pox of Goddess Kali. After Kanda Karnan attained the pursuit of his life – to cure Kali – he presented his father with more demands. Shiva gave him fire, but he wasn’t satisfied. He bargained with his father to grab many more wishes like sixteen torches, a fire-place in head among other things before set off his journey to earth.

The story highlights the relation and unity of both the Gods, Saivism (followers of Lord Shiva) and Vaishnavism (followers of Lord Vishnu) and explains that there should be no racism among the religion. It brings out the poignant theme that all forms of Gods are manifestations of the same God. The head gear stands tall some as tall as 50 feet. The costume is
made from coconut fronds, palm leaves, bamboo etc. This one dances on fire embers withlighted torches tied to the waist. The head gear also has lighted torches. It is awe inspiring. Gejja Sadhe Kepaaaa?? ( Wondering on the bell sound)... "THERE SURUAACHI "
"THE WORLD WHICH TAKES BACK TO THE MYTH ERA " The Human God : THERE (BhootaKola /Theyyam) - the form of worshipping gods, goddesses, legendary heroes etc is based on a rather simple concept, that after suitable propitiatory rituals, the god or goddess belonging to a temple becomes temporally manifest in the body of an empowered man (the performer), thereby elevating him to a divine status. One of the There is called Chamundi There (also known as Pill Chammundi or Thee Chammudi)

CHAMUNDI THERE : An offering to Lord Vishnu’s incarnation- Narasimhavathra — part lion part man- this ritual dance is an awe inspiring one and it is believed that the performer of this gets possessed by the spirit of the god. The body of the dancer is decorated with tender coconut leaves. With vigorous chanting, at the climax of the dance, the performer jumps on top of a huge bonfire. It is believed that because of the arduous spiritual observances the dancer has undergone he becomes resistant to burns. #Ancestorsworshiping #There #Culture #Traditions #HumanGods #Belief #natureworshippers #Life #Goddess #god #religion
