Tea 🌿 One of the most overlooked forms of nutrition. One of the easiest ways to calm. One of the oldest forms of medicine.
This winter, we’ve been trying to incorporate 3 pots of tea to drink throughout the day each week for a nutritive way to boost the immune system. In our current rotation: nettle + catnip, rosehip + a squeeze of lemon, Alfalfa + Oatstraw + Lemon Balm.
This is just Alfalfa + Oatstraw. Alfalfa is naturally high in many essential vitamins and minerals, including A, D, E, K, & B vitamins; biotin, calcium, folic acid, iron, magnesium, & potassium . Oatstraw contains minerals such as calcium, magnesium and iron and trace elements like silicon and potassium. It’s also revered for its nervine properties. In fact, oatstraw prepared as a tea and taken over time are said to benefit individuals who are “pushed and pushed and now feels tired, out-of-sorts, or just plain disconnected much of the time no matter how much they rest or sleep.” ~by the well known herbalist & teacher 7Song. In other words, oatstraw tea is for mothers. And pretty much anyone living in our fast paced world. Add in the nutritive benefits of both teas, and be well nourished in mind & body.
Cheers friends ❤️🌿
