Insomnia has been apart of my life for as long as I can remember but sleepless/restless nights have been happening too frequently which leads to less healing and a miserable Lauren let’s be real.
I’ve taken to really create a calm space in my bedroom.
We got new flooring in our room and I took it then to figure out how I wanted it to feel.
I rearranged my room to create a more calming environment, almost hotel like, simple decor, removed all clutter, make my bed everyday, keep it organized which for me was all laundry put away everyday not baskets and piles waiting to be rifled thru.
I invested in some really comfy pillows, soft sheets and quilt. I needed a space that was an escape and totally relaxing.
Along with establishing a nightly routine of epsom salt baths, diffusing essential oils, energy healing crystals and keeping hydrated thru the night when I wake up a bunch of times.
It’s been almost 2 weeks of this and
I find myself a little more rested but certainly calmer less anxious and certainly more settled.
Trying new things to create a more productive healing environment in every way I can.
